House committee begins discussion of draft state budget

AMMAN — The Lower House Finance Committee on Monday started discussing the draft laws for the state budget and the budget of independent government units for 2017, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
During the meeting, attended by Finance Minister Omar Malhas and officials from the Income and Sales Tax Department, committee chair MP Ahmad Safadi said the panel discussed the economic indications related to growth and public sector revenues, especially taxes.
