Gendarmerie Department chief receives Georgian ambassador

AMMAN — Gendarmerie Department Director Maj. Gen. Hussein Hawatmeh on Wednesday met with Georgian Ambassador to Jordan Gregory Tabatadze, and discussed cooperation between the department and its Georgian counterpart.
Hawatmeh highlighted the importance of joint cooperation and expertise exchange between the two sides in various security fields, especially at the technical and training levels, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Tabatadze expressed his admiration of the advanced level of the department and its good reputation locally and internationally, especially after Hawatmeh was named president of the Association of Mediterranean and European Gendarmeries.
