Gendarmerie chief meets with UAE delegation

AMMAN — Gendarmerie Department Director Maj. Gen. Hussein Hawatmeh on Monday received UAE Ambassador to Jordan Matar Shamsi and an accompanying delegation, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

Hawatmeh highlighted the deep- rooted relations between the two countries. Hawatmeh and Shamsi discussed ways to enhance joint cooperation especially in the exchange of technical and training expertise that serves the interest of both countries.

Shamsi praised the distinguished level of the Gendarmerie, expressing his country’s keenness to strengthen the ties between the Jordanian Gendarmerie and its Emirati counterpart.
