Nearly half a million cast their ballots by noon — IEC

AMMAN — Independent Election Commission (IEC) President Khaled Kalaldeh said a total of 490,240 Jordanians had voted by noon on Tuesday.
Voting for the parliamentary elections started across the Kingdom at 7am and will continue until 7pm.
The number of eligible voters stands at 4,130,145, according to the IEC.
The total number of voters in the 2013 elections stood at 1,288,043, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported, adding that this voting turnout is high so far across the Kingdom.
Public Security Department (PSD) Director Maj. Gen. Atef Saudi has said that no major security incidents were reported so far.
