Cabinet approves funds to renovate 130 houses in camps

AMMAN — The Council of Ministers on Sunday agreed to allocate necessary funds to finance the seventh phase of the project to rehabilitate 130 houses of underprivileged families at refugee camps.
The funds will be allocated from the 2016 social safety net of the Planning and International Cooperation Ministry, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The project, implemented by the Department of Palestinian Affairs in cooperation with the Planning Ministry, aims at providing proper housing to underprivileged families living in refugee camps in the Kingdom.
The project, started in 2004, refurbished a total of 1,996 houses in 10 Palestinian refugee camps, Petra said.
