GAM to allocate areas for slaughtering sheep, cattle

AMMAN — Amman Mayor Aqel Biltaji on Saturday instructed the concerned authorities at the Greater Amman Municipality (GAM) to allocate areas to slaughter and sell sacrificial sheep and cattle in Amman to serve the public and traders in accordance with health and environment conditions.
GAM annually allocates several locations around the capital to sell and slaughter sacrifices for Eid Al Adha, the Muslim feast marking the end of the pilgrimage season, to prevent the phenomenon of random slaughterhouses, and commit traders and cattle owners to health standards.
