Report highlights shortages in staff at public departments

AMMAN — Technical reports submitted to Prime Minister Abdullah Ensour on Wednesday and prepared by the Public Sector Development Ministry revealed a shortage in personnel in main jobs at public departments, a ministry statement said.
First, second, and third job categories are included in the shortage, with 65 recorded at the Environment Ministry, 49 at the Land Transport Regulatory Commission, and 22 at the Higher Education Accreditation Council, according to the report, cited by the statement.
Public Sector Development Minister Khleef Al Khawaldeh said the reports give a set of recommendations that includes reviewing the organisational structure at the examined entities and addressing the shortage in personnel.
