Suspect, reported accomplice in 23 house thefts arrested

AMMAN — Northern Amman Criminal Investigation Department (CID) personnel have arrested a suspect who robbed 23 houses in different areas in Amman, a Public Security Department (PSD) statement said Monday.
The CID returned the stolen items to the owners. The suspect confessed to robbing the 23 houses, most of which are occupied by foreign students residing in the Kingdom, and CID personnel found 11 laptops and tablet computers, 35 mobile phones, and a number of cameras hidden in his house.
CID personnel also arrested an accomplice, who the suspect said helped him hide the stolen items. The PSD urged the public to lock their houses when going out.
