80 companies register so far for Jordan food expo

AMMAN — Eighty companies have so far announced their participation in the upcoming Jordan Food 2015 exhibition, which opens on June 9.
According to a Foodstuff Traders Association (FTA) statement sent to The Jordan Times on Sunday, a large number of local, Arab and international chambers of commerce and industry will participate in the exhibition which will be held at the Amman International Motor Show.
The event is organised by the FTA in cooperation with the International Promoters Company. In the statement, FTA President Khalil Haj Tawfiq was quoted as describing the exhibition as “unique”, bringing together companies offering quality food items for citizens.
He said the five-day exhibition will showcase the private sector’s efforts in securing a strategic reserve of basic food items in the Kingdom.
