Jordan seeks close security cooperation with US — Majali

AMMAN — Interior Minister Hussein Majali and a US Department of State official discussed on Tuesday the latest developments in the region and their repercussions at the political, security and economic levels.
At a meeting with US Assistant Secretary of State for Population, Refugees and Migration Ann C.
Richard, Majali underscored the importance of exchanging security expertise, especially due to the growing state of instability witnessed in several countries in the region.
Majali said Jordan needs the international community’s support to help it host refugees.
Richard expressed her understanding of Jordan’s humanitarian role to alleviate the suffering of Syrian refugees, despite economic and social difficulties.
