36 pilgrims injured in bus accident

AMMAN — Thirty-six pilgrims were injured on Sunday when their bus overturned in the Jafer region in Maan, some 220km south of Amman, the Civil Defence Department (CDD) said.
The pilgrims were taken to Maan Public Hospital where they were reported to be in fair condition except for five who suffered critical injuries, according to the CDD.
The bus was carrying 52 passengers on their way back from Saudi Arabia after performing umra (the lesser Muslim pilgrimage to Mecca).
