'Demand for gas, fuel jumps by 36-90%'

AMMAN — Demand for gas and oil derivatives went up by 36 to 90 per cent over the past two days due to the expected severe weather, the Jordan Petroleum Refinery Company (JPRC) said Thursday.
The JPRC said it filled and sold 353,365 gas cylinders on Tuesday and Wednesday, while the average daily demand is around 100,000 cylinders.
Total demand for oil derivatives stood at 17,657 tonnes on Tuesday and 22,685 tonnes on Wednesday.
The average daily demand is between 12,000 and 14,000 tonnes.
