Cabinet briefed on 4G licence for Orange

AMMAN — The Cabinet on Wednesday listened to a briefing on a recent decision taken by the council of commissioners at the Telecommunications Regulatory Commission regarding Fourth Generation (4G) services.
The council recently approved the licensing of a frequency bundle in the domain of (10+10) MHz for Petra Jordanian Mobile Telecommunication Company (Orange Mobile), in return for JD71 million in licence fees.
This makes Orange Jordan the second telecom company to obtain the licence after Zain Jordan.
