By Petra - Oct 26,2014 - Last updated at Oct 26,2014

AMMAN — Prime Minister Abdullah Ensour on Sunday inaugurated the Raghadan tourism complex.

The Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) financed 80 per cent of the project, set up at an estimated cost of around JD7.5 million.

On the occasion, Amman Mayor Aqel Biltaji said the project is part of efforts to develop several facilities and sites in downtown Amman and to ease the flow of traffic.

He noted that the complex should become a main destination for tourists to find traditional items and souvenirs as well as restaurants.

Planning Minister Ibrahim Saif expressed his appreciation to Japan for its development assistance to Jordan.
