AMMAN — Anti-Narcotics Department (AND) personnel on Monday foiled an attempt to smuggle 40,000 illicit pills.
Investigators uncovered evidence that an individual was altering the saj (a dome-shaped baking utensil) to use it to hide drugs and smuggle them to a nearby country.
The suspect was arrested and the hidden drugs were seized.
Further investigation led to the arrest of three other suspects.
The four were referred to the State Security Court, according to an AND statement.
