AMMAN — The Social Security Corporation (SSC) on Monday urged the public to read the new Social Security Law to acquaint themselves with their rights and responsibilities.
Every working individual in Jordan has the right to be covered under the SSC, the corporation’s spokesperson, Musa Sbeihi, said in a lecture, noting that optional subscriptions are offered to unemployed Jordanians and those working abroad.
The social security system, Sbeihi added, is an effective tool to secure citizens’ incomes and protect them from poverty, ensuring equality and supporting productivity.
He stressed the need to support the system to reach financial sustainability.
