Wihdat lose, Faisali win in AFC Cup matches

AMMAN — Jordan’s Wihdat lost and Faisali won in their stage 2 Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Cup on Tuesday as both teams aimed to come away with wins to boost their advanced positions in Groups A and B respectively.
Wihdat lost to Lebanon’s Al Ahd 3-2 in Group A in their away match in Beirut. In Amman, Faisali beat Iraq’s Naft Al Wasat 2-1 in Group B. Wihdat next take on Turkmenistan’s Altyn Asyr at home on March 13, while Faisali go up against Lebanon’s Tripoli in an away game.
