Wihdat draw, Faisali win in AFC Cup group matches

AMMAN — Wihdat drew Turkmenistan’s Altyn Asyr 0-0 in their Group A return leg match of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Cup on Tuesday. The Jordan Professional League champs earlier drew 1-1 with Altyn Asyr at home, lost an away match against Lebanon’s Al Ahd 3-2 after their opening 2-0 win over Bahrain’s Hidd.

In Group B, Faisali beat Lebanon’s Tripoli 3-1. Faisali earlier had held Tripoli 1-1 in Beirut, beat Iraq’s Naft Al Wasat 2-1 after their opening 0-0 draw with Turkmenistan’s Istiklol Dushanbe.  Wihdat will next play an away match against Hidd and Faisali take on Turkmenistan’s Istiklol Dushanbe at home on April 26.
