Jordan plays Palestine in women’s Asian qualifiers

AMMAN — The women’s national football team plays Palestine at 4pm on Friday in Group A Asian qualifiers currently under way in Amman — the first phase of the qualifying journey to the 2016 Summer Olympics football tournament.
Jordan opened the qualifiers with a 1-0 win over Hong Kong on Wednesday as Uzbekistan beat Palestine 6-0 in the other match. Jordan will host the U-17 Women’s World Cup in 2016 and is now gearing up to implement executive plans to prepare four stadiums as well as 16 practice fields. Jordan beat bids from Uruguay, South Africa, Ireland and Bahrain.
