Zain marks Karamah Battle anniversary

AMMAN — Deputising for Chairman of the Joint Chiefs-of-Staff Lt. Gen. Mahmoud Freihat, Director of Personnel at the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF) Brig. Gen. Abdullah Hassanat on Tuesday attended a ceremony held by Zain Jordan telecom company to honour mothers, wives, sisters, daughters and granddaughters of Karamah Battle and the 1973 war.

Zain held the ceremony in appreciation for the soldiers who lost their lives in defence of causes of Jordan and the Arab nation, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. Hassanat expressed JAF’s appreciation for Zain’s gesture that highlighted the company’s national and social responsibility towards the army and security institutions.
