Wanted person arrested — PSD

AMMAN — The police on Wednesday arrested a wanted individual who was allegedly involved in a protection racket targeting an engineer working in a project in Southern Shouneh.
The Public Security Directorate’s (PSD) spokesperson said that the suspect, who is wanted in four cases, strongly resisted arrest and threatened to use a firearm in his possession, but the security force managed to apprehend him, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The spokesperson added that the search of the suspect's residence resulted in the seizure of a large quantity of drugs and ammunition, noting that an investigation is under way.
