AMMAN — The Abdul Hameed Shoman Foundation (AHSF) on Sunday hosted a promotional ceremony for the UNESCO-Sharjah Prize for Arab Culture, the foundation said on Tuesday.

During the ceremony, Culture Minister Adel Tweisi, AHSF CEO Valentina Qussisiya and UNESCO’s Assistant Director General for Social and Human Sciences Nada Al Nashif delivered speeches, the AHSF said in a statement.

Tweisi said the prize highlights the “ability to make a positive change while shedding light on Arab culture, which has suffered a lot in recent decades”.
