Two children shot during Tafileh festive firing

AMMAN — Two children on Friday were hit by stray bullets during festive firing in Tafileh, 180km southwest of Amman, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. A boy was shot in his lung and a girl was injured in the leg, according to Petra.
The incident came as a result of festive firing following the announcement of General Secondary Education Certificate Examination (Tawjihi) results. A security source told Petra that the victims were taken to Prince Zeid Hospital where they were reported to be in critical condition. Police have initiated an investigation into the two incidents.
