Two border infiltrators shot dead by army personnel

AMMAN — Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army personnel shot dead two border infiltrators from Syria on Wednesday, according to an army official.

The source said the two infiltrators illegally crossed the border at around 6:30 pm.

JAF personnel fired warning shots to stop them from proceeding further, but they did not comply.

As a result, one was shot dead, while the other was critically wounded and taken to a field hospital, where he later died, according to the army official.
