Tarawneh meets with UN resident and humanitarian coordinator

AMMAN — Lower House Speaker Atef Tarawneh on Wednesday met with the UN Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator in Jordan Anders Pedersen, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Tarawneh said that the House will put all efforts into overcoming difficulties that may stand in the way of the United Nations development programmes in Jordan through its legislative and monitoring role.
For his part, Pedersen said that all the programmes adopted in Jordan in the next five years will focus on promoting the goals of sustainable development, stressing the importance of coordination and cooperation with Jordan and all its institutions, especially the Parliament.
