Army chief meets with UN official over refugee crisis

AMMAN — Chairman of the Joint Chiefs-of-Staff Lt. Gen. Mahmoud Freihat on Wednesday received UN Resident/Humanitarian Coordinator in Jordan Anders Pedersen.

Freihat and Pedersen discussed regional developments, focusing on the status of refugees and the relevant roles of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army.
