Shamali chairs meetings of Economic and Social Council of Arab League

AMMAN — Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply Yousef Shamali on Thursday chaired the meetings of the Economic and Social Council of the Arab League.

Assistant Secretary General of the Head of Social Affairs sector of the Arab League, Ambassador Haifa Abu Ghazaleh said that the draft agenda of the meetings included preparations for the next Algeria-held Arab summit and the fifth session of the Arab Summit for Economic and Social Development in Mauritania.

She also said that the decisions will cover key, priority issues, especially those related to joint Arab economic and social action, including upgrading the customs union, maritime transport, investment and food security.
