Security court continues hearings in Hizbollah case

AMMAN — The State Security Court (SSC) on Wednesday adjourned the trial of eight suspects accused of joining Hizbollah to next Wednesday.
The SSC heard testimonies from three out of 15 witnesses and is scheduled to continue listening to witnesses.
The defendants are accused of planning terrorist attacks in and outside the Kingdom, manufacturing explosives, conspiracy and recruiting people to join armed groups.
The suspects were detained in May.
Also on Wednesday, the SSC sentenced a man convicted of fraud in a brokerage firm scam to six years in prison fined him JD1,200, while another was sentenced to four years with a JD800 fine.
