Safadi, Indian FM talk ties over phone

AMMAN — Foreign Minister in the caretaker government Ayman Safadi and his Indian counterpart Subrahmanyam Jaishankar on Monday discussed ways to boost Jordanian-Indian cooperation, especially addressing the COVID-19 pandemic and its ramifications.
In a phone call, the two ministers stressed the importance of cooperating in dealing with the pandemic and commitment to develop relations, pointing to multiple meetings that brought together His Majesty King Abdullah and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, identifying areas for enhancing cooperation in various fields under “a common will”.
Safadi and Jaishankar also discussed regional developments and efforts exerted to overcome challenges and establish security and stability, underlining commitment to advance relations in various fields and coordination on regional developments, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
