Report gauges government's progress over last two years

AMMAN — An in-depth evaluation of Prime Minister Bisher Khasawnehs's performance over the past two-and-a-half years was released by Al Hayat Centre for Civil Society Development - Rased on Monday.
The report detailed 796 commitments achieved by the government, classified into four main strategic programmes: the Economic Modernisation Vision (2023-2025), the Public Sector Modernisation Plan (2022-2025), the Government's Economic Action Priorities Programme (2021-2023) and the Government's Indicative Executive Programme (2021-2024), the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Of the 79 commitments outlined in the Indicative Executive Programme, the report revealed that 43 per cent of those commitments have been implemented, 11 per cent have yet to be executed, while the remaining 46 per cent are currently in progress.
During the tenure of Khasawneh, a total of 880 decisions have been issued. Among these decisions, the report's analysis discovered that the legislative axis made up 29 per cent of the decisions, followed by the administrative and financial and economic axes, each constituted 24 per cent.
Development, services and appointments each represented 10 per cent of the decisions, while international agreements and treaties made up the last 3 per cent.
Additionally, the Council of Ministers appointed 106 individuals via 86 decisions over the last two and a half years.
The report also recounted the social media activity of several ministry Facebook pages. The report noted that the pages received a combination of 891,000 interactions including likes, comments and shares on 10,041 posts. This accounted for 3 per cent of the combined 29 million views the pages received.
The Ministry of Local Administration had highest number of posts at 3,697, while the Ministry of Finance recorded the fewest with just two posts.
However, the Ministry of Education had the most viewer engagement, receiving approximately 233,000 interactions.
The report also recorded nearly 2.37 million views on 334 posts and around 86,000 interactions on the official Prime Ministry Facebook page. The majority of the interactions were likes, constituting about 74 per cent of interactions. Comments accounted for 21 per cent and shares for the last 5 per cent.
Rased Founder and General Director Amer Bani Amer, highlighted the report's role in boosting the culture of oversight and participation in the decision-making process.
He emphasised the importance of incorporating a proactive approach when addressing challenges and the need to collaborate with experts and stakeholders to achieve solutions.
