AMMAN – The British Council on Tuesday launched the Inclusive Decisions for Equal and Accountable Society (IDEAS) project toolkit, which seeks to boost the capabilities of civil society organisations serving people with disabilities.
According to a statement issued by the British Council, the project also aims to increase the participation of people with disabilities in society.
HRH Prince Mired, president of the Higher Council for Affairs of Persons with Disabilities, attended the launch of the EU-funded project. Prince Mired said inter-agency collaboration is crucial to any inclusive policy-making and decision-making process.
“The essence of the project is found in its title… IDEAS… ideas are the basis of choice,” he said, noting that effective participation creates a culture that promotes acceptance and thrives on diversity.
