Princess Muna opens medical, training centres

AMMAN — HRH Princess Muna, World Health Organisation patron for Nursing and Midwifery in the Eastern Mediterranean Region and president of the Jordanian Nursing Council, on Thursday inaugurated two centres to provide medical services and training to women at the Specialty Hospital, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

She also attended the signing of an agreement to implement the specialty Advanced Trauma Life Support training centre at the American College of Surgeons. One of the inaugurated centres includes a mammogram machine for early breast cancer detection. The centre also has a 4D scanning device for prenatal care. The American College of Surgeons’ training centre conducts workshops for doctors and nurses, and provides field training to Jordanian, Arab and foreign university students, Petra reported.
