Prime minister, Kuwaiti deputy PM discuss trade, investment, regional developments

AMMAN — Prime Minister Jafar Hassan on Monday received Kuwait’s First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Yousef Saud Al Sabah.

During the meeting, Hassan and Sabah emphasised the deep fraternal ties between Jordan and Kuwait under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah and Sheikh Mishal Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah, the Amir of Kuwait. 

They also stressed their commitment to boosting cooperation across various sectors, according to a Prime Ministry statement.  

Discussions also focused on enhancing bilateral relations, particularly in trade, investment, education, and training, as well as exchanging expertise in key fields. 

Hassan also highlighted Jordan’s promising investment opportunities in strategic sectors, the statement said.

Both sides also underscored the need to maintain the ceasefire in Gaza, ensure sustained humanitarian aid for its people, and stop the Israeli aggressions in the West Bank. 

They also stressed that Syria’s security and stability are vital for the region and its people.

The meeting was attended by Minister of Interior Mazen Faraya, Minister of State for Prime Ministry Affairs Abdullah Adwan, Kuwaiti Ambassador to Jordan Hamad Marri, and members of the Kuwaiti delegation.
