SALT — Minister of Political and Parliamentary Affairs KhaledKalaldeh on Sunday said the new proposed law on political parties, which the government has recently completed, will boost partisan life in Jordan through support parties.
During a meeting organised by a group of retired military personnel from Balqa, the minister said the proposed draft law includes essential amendments, mainly the transfer of the responsibilities of supervising political parties from the Interior Ministry to the Ministry of Political and Parliamentary Affairs.
At present, the government is reviewing past economic plans and all privatisation schemes that have led to deteriorating economic conditions, Kalaldeh said, adding that procedures to deal with the situation require a long time for their positive outcome to be realised.
