Police chief visits Northern Region Security Command

AMMAN — The Public Security Directorate (PSD) Director Maj. Gen. Obaidallah Maaytah on Wednesday  visited the Northern Region Security Command and took a firsthand look on its key efforts, duties and strategic and operational plans for the years 2023 to 2025. 

Maaytah conveyed the greetings of His Majesty King Abdullah, the Supreme Commander of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF), to all members of the Northern Region Command, and commended their efforts and services provided to citizens through their various units and formations, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra. 

He emphasised the importance of implementing the 2023-2025 strategic and operational plans, which have been developed for all regions, in order to enhance fieldwork and services provided by police directorates and security centres. 

He also highlighted the need to develop concepts of community policing and maintain constant communication with local communities through police departments and security centres. 

During his visit, Maaytah was briefed by the commander of the Northern Region Security Command on the key plans and efforts being made, as well as statistics related to the work carried out by police departments, security centres, and other units, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
