Philadelphia University, IIE sign cooperation agreement

AMMAN — The Institute of International Education (IIE) and Philadelphia University (PU) recently signed a memorandum of understanding to formally establish the university as a partner of the IIE Scholar Rescue Fund (IIE-SRF), a PU statement said.
PU has hosted 24 IIE-SRF fellows since 2008, the second most of any higher education institution globally, just behind Harvard University in the US, according to the statement.
The partnership aims to support academic fellowships at PU for threatened and displaced scholars from the region, the statement said. PU President Mutaz Sheikh Salem and IIE Executive Vice President Maxmillian Angerholzer III signed the memorandum of understanding at a ceremony in Amman.
