AMMAN — The Water Ministry, during a campaign carried out in cooperation with the Public Security Directorate, on Thursday detected new water theft cases in Umm Al Rasas, Al Jameel and Husban areas in southern Amman.
The ministry said that its teams removed 12 illegal fixtures on water mains that were used to divert hundreds of cubic metres of water on a daily basis to irrigate farms, and fill water tankers and pools, which affected water shares for several southern Amman areas, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The ministry stressed that it will continue its efforts to prevent water theft across the Kingdom.
