‘New tourist trails to promote lesser known attractions’

AMMAN — Tourism Minister Nidal Katamine on Monday underscored the importance of introducing new tourist trails that boost governorate development, in cooperation with the Hashemite Fund for the Development of the Jordan Badia, the Jordan Tourism Board and the Jordan Society of Tourism and Travel Agents.
The ministry is currently working to promote nine new trails and to encourage tourists to visit them, especially at the ancient site of Beir Mathkour in the foothills of Wadi Araba.
Katamine said the ministry has coordinated with the Jordan Society of Tourism and Travel Agents to conduct tours to promote tourist attractions and ancient sites in the Kingdom.
