Navy hosts maritime security workshop

AMMAN — The Royal Jordanian Navy on Sunday hosted a maritime border security workshop focusing on antiterrorism.
The event, held under the supervision of the NATO Maritime Interdiction Operational Training Centre (NMIOTC), featured the participation of Hellenic Navy (frigate class) NMIOTC Commandant Themistoklis Papadimitriou and Col. Mohammad Al Tarawneh, Assistant Commander of the Royal Jordanian Navy, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
The workshop gathered international and Jordanian maritime experts to assess and evaluate Jordan's requirements in terms of maritime border security and shed light on Jordan's key maritime priorities. It also aims to ease the exchange of best practices and strategies related to maritime border security, and provide recommendations to enhance Jordan's maritime capabilities.
