National Geographic photographer appointed JTB ambassador

AMMAN — The Managing Director of the Jordan Tourism Board (JTB) Abedrazzaq Arabiyat on Tuesday appointed two-time Pulitzer Prize winner and National Geographic photographer Mohammed Muheisen as global ambassador of JTB.
According to a statement sent from JTB, Arabiyat underlined the importance of photography in promoting Jordan. He also said that photography needed to be used in the right way and by the right people, pointing to Muheisen’s works and efforts to show Jordan to the world.
Muheisen added that it was his responsibility as a Jordanian to present an authentic image of the country to the world through his art.
Muheisen also said that it was important to fact-check and deliver the right image and information about the Kingdom.
Muheisen has received numerous international awards, and is considered a global influencer who uses his talent to document stories and spread awareness.
