Ministerial legal committee endorses bills for newly formed ministries

AMMAN — A ministerial legal committee at the Justice Ministry on Sunday endorsed four bills related to the newly formed ministries of local administration and digital economy and entrepreneurship.
The committee referred the bills to the Cabinet to be duly processed and endorsed, the Jordan News Agency, Petra reported. The committee passed the by-laws of the appointment of the minister of local administration and the minister of digital economy and entrepreneurship to replace and assume the tasks of the ministers of municipal affairs and the ICT, respectively.
The committee also passed the two ministries’ administrative management by-laws, which govern the organisational structures of the two new ministries. The bills will be debated by lawmakers in the next parliamentary sessions, according to Petra.
