Minister calls for hiring more Jordanians in construction sector

AMMAN – Minister of Labour Ali Ghezawi on Sunday met with Jordanian Construction Contractors Association (JCCA) President Wael Toukan and its members, and discussed increasing job opportunities for Jordanians in the construction sector, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. Ghezawi stressed the importance of finding jobs for vocational training graduates.
He also stressed that employers must obtain the necessary permits to hire guest workers; otherwise, they will be held legally liable. Toukan reviewed the role of the JCCA in employing Jordanians at the construction sector and the partnership with the public sector to provide more job opportunities.
