LTRA pledges support to public transport operators

AMMAN — The Land Transport Regulatory Authority (LTRA) will provide direct support to public transport operators, LTRA Director General Tariq Habashneh said on Thursday, noting that the move is meant to alleviate the impacts of increases in fuel prices.

In press remarks Habashneh noted that a specialised panel has held several meetings with the relevant authorities and set a mechanism for financial support, adding that the payments would be made after completing the necessary measures, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
