King congratulates new UK PM

AMMAN — His Majesty King Abdullah has sent a cable to United Kingdom Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, congratulating him on taking office.

In the cable, King Abdullah wished Prime Minister Sunak success, reaffirming Jordan’s keenness to advance the deep-rooted ties of friendship and partnership with the United Kingdom, in the best interest of the two peoples and in pursuit of global peace and stability, according to a Royal Court statement.
