AMMAN — The Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF) has renewed its partnership with the King Hussein Cancer Foundation (KHCF) for an additional two years to support the treatment costs of underprivileged children with cancer at KHCF.
This collaboration, which began in 2022, aims to alleviate the financial burden for families in need, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
KHCF Chairperson Princess Ghida Talal stressed the significance of the partnership, saying: "We are proud of this international collaboration, which positively impacts the lives of our patients and strengthens our efforts in the fight against cancer."
Co-President and Director of SNF Andreas Dracopoulos said: "We believe that every child with cancer is entitled to the best possible medical care. The role of the KHCF in providing care for children from across the region is invaluable, and we are honoured to continue our support as part of SNF’s Global Health Initiative."
The renewed agreement enhances the "strategic" partnership between the two organisations, which has previously funded the treatment of 125 underprivileged children with cancer.
Founded in 1996, the SNF is one of the world’s "leading" philanthropic organisations, providing grants to non-profit entities across a range of sectors including arts and culture, education, health, sports and social welfare.
