AMMAN — The King Hussein Cancer Foundation (KHCF) and Centre (KHCC) on Monday celebrated its 20th anniversary. In 2011, a Royal Decree was issued appointing HRH Princess Ghida Talal as the chairperson of the KHCF and the KHCC.

In a statement on the occasion, Princess Ghida expressed thanks for His Majesty King Abdullah for entrusting her to establish this healthcare facility, expressing pride in helping patients combat cancer, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

Since it was established, the centre was accredited by the Joint Commission International, as well as built strategic partnerships with leading cancer centres, including MD Anderson Children's Cancer Hospital and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. The centre's staff includes more than 1,500 cancer specialists.
