AMMAN — Kazakhstan's Ambassador to Jordan Aidarabek Tumatov on Thursday highlighted the “close cooperation” between his country and Jordan in various fields, including parliaments.

During a press conference to brief about the elections to Kazakhstan’s Lower House of parliament, slated for Sunday, Tumatov said that the parliamentary friendship committee of two countries will be reformed following the elections due to its importance in boosting parliamentary relations and bilateral ties.

He said that 400 observers from different countries, including Jordan, have been registered to monitor these elections, pointing out that Kazakh nationals residing in Jordan will cast their votes at the embassy according to the measures taken to ensure public safety, such as wearing face masks and physical distancing, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
