KAFD announces support for 7 pioneering projects

AMMAN — The King Abdullah II Fund for Development announced on Thursday the selection of seven innovative community projects to receive financial and technical support from the fifth session of the Social Entrepreneurship Challenge Project for the year 2024, under the slogan “Don’t Leave Your Home: An Idea on Paper”.
King Abdullah Development Centre Director Mazen Tabbalat signed support agreements with the project owners, which covered several local communities, including technology, tourism, education, marketing, and digital media content creation, according to a statement from the fund.
The statement added that individual and group projects will receive financial support amounting to 5,000 dinars, while civil society organisation projects will receive support ranging from JD10,000 to JD15,000
The winning projects were selected by an independent and specialised technical committee of experts of The Social Entrepreneurship Challenge project, which was launched in 2019, supported 30 projects and created 1,768 direct and indirect job opportunities until the fourth cycle.
