AMMAN — Jordan Phosphate Mines Company (JPMC) Chairman Mohammad Thneibat on Monday discussed means to boost cooperation pertaining to phosphate fertilisers with an Iraqi delegation headed by Minister of Agriculture Mohammad Khafaji, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

In the presence of the Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply Maha Al Ali, Thneibat stressed the company's willingness to supply the Iraqi Ministry of Agriculture with phosphate fertilisers. Other aspects of cooperation also include constructing a plant for phosphate fertilisers, in partnership with the Iraqi side, to provide the Iraqi market with the substance, Petra reported.

The two parties agreed to arrange a meeting in Amman to further discuss the said plans. The JPMC chairman also extended an invitation to the Iraqi delegation to examine the process of producing and manufacturing phosphate fertilisers in the Kingdom in order to reach an agreement that establishes “a true partnership” between the two sides.
