AMMAN — A number of Jordanian media professionals from government agencies visited the House of Representatives of the Netherlands on Tuesday and attended part of its deliberations.
Their visit included a two-stage training course sponsored by Shiraka, a Netherlands-MENA partnership, focusing on public communication skills, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The trainees received a briefing from a Dutch lawmaker on the cycle of policy and decision making in the European nation.
The first phase of the programme included a theoretical and hands-on training on government communications and change management, technology and youth engagement, media relations and training, and passive communication during crises.
The Shiraka Training Programme (STP) is part of the Shiraka Programme, developed by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs to support a sustainable democratic transition in the MENA region.
